HP Sprocket Photobooth - How to Add Custom Frames

You can personalize your HP Sprocket Photobooth experience by uploading your own custom frames. Follow the steps below to make sure your frames are properly prepared, uploaded, and available for use in your events.

Uploading Frames

Step 1: Prepare Your Frame Files

Before uploading, ensure your frames meet the following requirements:

  • Dimensions: 641 x 746 pixels
  • File Type: PNG
  • Orientation: Portrait
  • Transparency: The center of the image must be transparent — this is where the user's photo will appear inside the frame. Use design software like Canva, Photoshop, or any PNG editor to create your frame, and save it with a transparent area in the middle.

Tips:

  • Review the diagram below to the right, which gives a visual example of how to meet the requirements.

  • The diagram is one example, but you can make the transparent area any shape or size you want. Though we recommend you make it as large as possible, in order to fit people in the frame comfortably.
  • If your frames include text, it should be no smaller than size 24px.
  • You can place your text or logo anywhere you like, but we recommend placing them at least 20px away from the edge, to prevent cropping or visual crowding.
