Why is my printout blank?
The HP Sprocket Photo Paper might be loaded incorrectly.

Turn off the printer.

Remove the paper cover.

Remove any loose photo paper from the input tray.

Reload the HP Sprocket 5.8 x 8.7 cm (2.3 x 3.4 in) Photo Paper with the HP logos facing down.

Replace the paper cover.

Turn on the printer, and then resend the print job.
How do I reset my printer?
Use the printer reset button located underneath the Paper Cover. If the printer does not print or turn on, a reset might help clear any internal errors.

Turn on the printer.

Remove the Paper Cover.

Gently insert a paperclip into the reset button access point.

Press down and hold the Reset button for 3 seconds until the printer turns of.

Replace the Paper Cover, and then turn on the printer.
Why do I need to load the colored card?
The colored Print Quality Card (formerly Smartsheet) calibrates the printer to provide the best print quality for printing with a specific pack of Sprocket photo paper. The colored card cleans the paper path rollers during calibration or when you need to improve print quality.
How do I improve print quality?
If you are experiencing issues with fading, lines, streaks, contouring, or incorrect colors on your printouts, try these recommendations to help improve print quality.

Use genuine HP ZINK photo paper that is clean and wrinkle-free.

Make sure the firmware is up-to-date.

Use the HP sprocket app to adjust photo contrast and brightness.

Clean the paper path rollers with the Print Quality Card (formerly the Smartsheet).

Allow the Sprocket a few minutes to cool down between print jobs.

Store the photo paper in a cool, dry place and avoid contact with water.
Why do I see a blinking red light?
There is an issue that requires your attention. Determine which indicator light is blinking, and then read the section that matches the light.

Status Indicator light: The printer is in an error state, and an error message might display on the HP sprocket app. Go to Blinking Red Status Indicator Light for more information.

Charge Indicator light: The battery needs to be charged. Connect the USB cable to the printer, and then connect the other end to a power source with at least 1 AMPs, such as a wall adapter or USB-capable power strip. Charge the printer for at least 30 minutes or until the Charge Indicator light turns green.
How do I maximize the battery life of my printer?
There are several ways to make sure your battery lasts as
long as possible. Use these recommendations to maximize battery life.

Change how long the printer remains on: By default, the printer is set to turn off after 5 minutes. To change when the printer automatically turns off, open the HP sprocket app on your mobile device, and then tap the Menu icon . Tap sprocket, and then tap Printer Settings. Tap Auto Off, and then select when you want the printer to turn off.

Charge the printer when you are not using it: Leave the printer plugged into a power source whenever you are not using it.
note:
You can use the printer while it is charging. -
Charge the printer for more than 120 minutes. HP recommends you charge the printer for at least 120 minutes or until the Charge Indicator Light turns green. However, you can charge the printer for longer, which might increase battery life.

Use an external battery charger. Using an external battery charger allows you to charge the printer when the battery is low and you cannot access another power source. To purchase an external battery charger, go to HP Home & Home Office. You can also purchase external battery chargers from other retailers.
Can I send multiple print jobs at the same time?
Yes. When you or a guest sends a print job while the printer is off or processing another job, the print job is sent to the print queue.
Can I print from more than one device?
Yes. Up to 3 mobile devices can pair with the HP Sprocket Select Photo Printer.
What is the warranty of my printer?
The printer has a one-year limited hardware warranty from the date of purchase.
note:HP cannot provide warranty services for a printer that is damaged due to customer misuse, such as dropping the printer or water damage.
Why does my printer turn off unexpectedly?
The battery needs to be charged or the printer might have automatically turned off. Charge the printer, and then use the HP sprocket app to change when the printer automatically turns off.
note:By default, the printer is set to automatically turn off after 5 minutes.

Turn on the printer.

On your mobile device, open the HP sprocket app.

Tap the Menu icon , and then tap sprocket.

Tap Manage Printers, make sure your printer is selected, and then tap Printer Settings.

Tap Auto Off, and then select when you want the printer to automatically turn off.
What paper sizes are supported?
The printer supports HP Sprocket 5.8 x 8.7 cm (2.3 x 3.4 in) Photo Paper.
caution:Do not use the smaller HP Sprocket 5.0 x 7.6 cm (2 x 3 in) Photo Paper. It is not compatible and can damage the printer.
Where do I find the serial number of my printer?
You can find the printer serial number on the Universal Product Code (UPC) sticker inside the input tray. The serial number is a ten-digit alpha-numeric number that is unique to each printer.

Remove the Paper Cover.

Remove any loose photo paper from the input tray, and then set it aside.

Locate the serial number on the UPC sticker inside the input tray.
