Bluetooth connection problem

Posted by foxx992 on

Hi. I just got my Hp sprocket. I connected it to bluetooth, and paired it. When I go to print a picture, it tells me that the printer is not connected. I'm using an HTC 10.

  • Sounds like you’re issue was resolved, but you may also want to update the firmware on your Sprocket printer if you haven’t already.  You can do this by following the instructions below: First, make sure the Sprocket is charged to at least 75% battery and powered on.Ensure the Sprocket is paired to your mobile device. On your mobile device, open the HP Sprocket app and go to menu → sprocket → Printers; A ‘blue’ firmware update link will be present or a pop-up message will appear if an update is available. After clicking the link or upgrade prompt, follow onscreen process/instructions. Thanks!

  • Hi, if you are on an Android device, you might want to SEND or SHARE via Bluetooth to get it printed. Hope this helps.

  • Hi @foxx992,

A warm welcome to the HP community.  A very good day to you. 🙂 I understand that you require assistance regarding issues with the sprocket printer not printing from your HTC phone. It will be a genuine pleasure to help you. 🙂
Stupendous description of the issue before posting. Kudos to you for that. 🙂
For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this.

Did you restart the printer and the phone and check again?
Did the Bluetooth pairing happen correctly?
For a start, please delete the Bluetooth setting for the printer on your phone and pair the printer again and check if it connects and prints.
Then uninstall the sprocket app and reinstall it and try again.
Try to isolate the issue by pairing it with a different phone or IPad or IPhone.
If it works fine on a different device, then the issue is not with the printer. It is the phone that is the culprit. Please contact HTC in this regard to try and correct the situation.
