Terrible printing sprocket plus

Extremely dissatisfied in my sprocket plus , after reading the hp site this little printer sounded perfect how wrong Was I .....streaky lines all through the photos ......I’ve followed online advice from hp site but prints are still terrible . I don’t normally complain but the sprocket wasn’t cheap and neither is the paper. Please help
