Sprocket won't hold a charge

Posted by connormic on

My Sprocket won't hold a charge.  My phone app shows a full battery and it will stop printing mid photo and keeps wasting paper.  I read that I can use while plugged into a power source but this does not work at all, it still shuts off.  I submitted a service request and have not heard back from hp.  My warranty is up, unfortunately I have hardly used this Sprocket at all.

  • Good afternoon,

I have the same problem. I bought the printer for last Christmas and have only used it two times. However, when turning it on the last time, I noticed it was out of battery. I plugged it in and the status light started blinking green/red continuously. I left it loading for 2 hours but it kept not working. What could I do? Is it possible to seek technical assistance? The battery seems to be dead and does not charge at all. How and where could I send my printer? it is still on warranty although I only have 9 days left. I do not why it was sold to me with only 3 months warranty but I bought it on Aliexpress to a Chinese supplier by mistake who does not answer to me anymore. Thanks a lot for your help.

    Welcome to HP support community.

Change how long the printer remains on: By default, the printer is set to turn off after 5 minutes. To change when the printer automatically turns off, open the HP sprocket app on your mobile device, and then tap the Menu icon  . Tap sprocket, and then tap Printer Settings. Tap Auto Off, and then select when you want the printer to turn off.

Charge the printer when you are not using it: Leave the printer plugged into a power source whenever you are not using it.
    NOTE:
You can use the printer while it is charging.

Charge the printer for more than 90 minutes. HP recommends you charge the printer up to 90 minutes or until the power light turns green. However, you can charge the printer for longer than 90 minutes, which might increase battery life

You can refer this HP document for more assistance:- Click here

Let me know how it goes.
