Sprocket 200 not appearing in "Bluetooth settings" in iOS and Android

I have just bought a Sprocket 200 but it doesn't show up in my bluetooth settings.

I have followed the guide 100%, it's fully charged and everything but nothing helps - meaning I can't even update the firmware.


As far as I can understand, many people are experiencing this.

We have tried both on my iPad and my girlfriends' Huawei with no luck.


We bought the device with one purpose - using it at our wedding. Pretty frustrating 😞

    Please ensure the Sprocket Firmware is up to date

    Make sure the Sprocket is on and your mobile device is connected to the Internet.

    On your mobile device, open the HP sprocket app.

    Tap the Menu icon , and then tap sprocket.

    Tap Manage Printers, make sure your Sprocket is selected, and then tap Printer Settings.

    Under the Status section, locate Battery.

    If the battery charge is 25% or higher, continue with these steps.

    If the battery charge is 24% or lower, charge the battery for at least 30 minutes, and then continue with these steps.

    In Printer Settings, look for a firmware upgrade.

    If a firmware upgrade displays, tap Get Firmware Upgrade, and then follow the on-screen prompts to complete the update.

    If a firmware upgrade option does not display, the firmware is up-to-date.

    If the issue persists please reset the Sprocket

    Make sure the printer is on.

    Remove the paper cover.

    Locate the Reset button.

    With a paperclip or pin, press and hold the Reset button until the Charging Indicator light turns off.
    The printer resets and turns off.

    Replace the paper cover, and then turn on the printer.

    Also ensure on your iOS and Android Devices you forget the Sprocket from Bluetooth settings and restart the devices
