Re: Sprocket 200 Won't Connect with Android Phone

Posted by tofulee on

Hi there,

I seem to be having the same problem, except my phone is a Samsung Galaxy S8.

When I tried to set up my sprocket for the first time, it successfully connects (green tick) but stays stuck/loading on the pairing stage. I can't seem to get past this stage and my sprocket remains unconnected/unpaired.

I have tried resetting both my phone and the sprocket but the same issue still persists.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

HP regularly releases firmware updates. Upgrading the Sprocket firmware might resolve the issue.

Make sure the Sprocket is on and your mobile device is connected to the Internet.

On your mobile device, open the HP sprocket app.

Tap the Menu icon , and then tap sprocket.

Tap Manage Printers, make sure your Sprocket is selected, and then tap Printer Settings.

    Look for a firmware upgrade.

If a firmware upgrade displays, tap Get Firmware Upgrade, and then follow the on-screen prompts to complete the update.

If a firmware upgrade option does not display, the firmware is up-to-date.

If the issue persists, please perform the remaining steps from this document: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-sprocket-200-printer-series/21625473/document/c05937610
