"Problem with setup" when pairing by sprocket with my iphone

When I connect my sprocket with my iPhone XS, it always says 'problem with setup' after I select it to pair. I've tried everything I can find online: pairing it to another iPhone (7), turning both devices off and on again, pressing the reset button on the sprocket, charging the sprocket, loading new paper, forgetting the device in my bluetooth settings - but nothing is working. On the app, I click 'add printer' and then always have to click 'sprocket not listed? you might have to find one of our earlier printers' when it can't find it, it then finds it as 'HP sprocket (4E:D9)' but then when I select this as my printer it just says 'problem with setup'. I've had the printer for a few years and it has always worked well so this is very out of the blue. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • I’m having the same issue. And now my phone also won’t allow me to delete the app … As some people are saying to delete then re adding the app could help.

  • Any luck? Same issue here. I have one of the first Sprockets put out and I cannot get it to connect for the life of me.
