My sprocket photo printer blinking red light as soon as I got it out of box.

My sprocket won’t take charge and is blinking red lights when I connect usb. I called tech support and they said they can’t help me because it’s beyond warranty time limit. I think there’s a defect on the battery and it won’t take charge.  HP won’t help me.   I’m suck with an expensive product I can’t use.  Worst product ever.  I don’t recommend it.
