HP sprocket

My HP Sprocket normally works just fine but I’ve been trying to use it and it will not connect to the app. It connects perfectly fine to the Bluetooth on my phone but the app itself will not allow me to pair it. Therefore I cannot print out pictures. I have already tried resetting both my phone and the Sprocket. I’m not sure why this is happening but I am becoming very frustrated. Someone told me it maybe because I had one of the oldest versions and someone else told me it could be the sprocket is just broken. Either way I would like to know if there is anyway to fix this at all. Like I said earlier I have already tried resetting both my phone and my sprocket. I’ve also tried to manually connect it because it is an older product and it says “setup failure” or something of that sort. What am I doing wrong or what do I need to do?
