Blinking red light, won’t charge

I just brought this sprocket brand new, my first time trying to use it the red light is blinking and then stops after a few seconds. The sprocket will not charge and therefore won’t print:(

  • There is a blinking red light when initially put charging cable on to charge but no charge even after hours of leaving it alone in place. I bought this not even a year ago. Very disappointing!

  • Bought sprocket from Amazon new . Tried charging it over night . Still says dead

  • HP SUPPORT UK (via Whatsapp) were the ones that helped me the same day. They replaced for me the Sprocket for a new one which will arrive tomorrow so they get all the credit. (Thanks again Maria)

  • @Doc-dutch If the device is dead on arrival, and you’ve already checked with alternate cables and wall outlets, etc…we suggest you contact the store you purchased the device from and get yourself a replacement, alternatively, if purchased from HP, I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:
    1) Click on this link –
    2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:
    3) Enter the serial of your device.
    4) Select the country from the drop-down.
    5) Click on “Show Options”.
    Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
    Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it’s most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,

  • Hi for me the same, modelnr 1AS85A also red light blinking out of the box. No charge for hours, even when changing cable for trial and error.  Im also an HP employee. Can you send me a DOA number so I can return it to HP?
